Description

This presentation will provide an overall introduction to the United Kingdom's recently launched Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment, along with resources for additional training and information.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will name three areas of the CFVI
Attendees will learn two facts related to the development, launch, and future plans for the CFVI
Attendees will gain at least one new resource to learn more about the CFVI

Rachel Hewett

Dr. Rachel Hewett is an Associate Professor in School of Education. She is currently Head of Department of Disability Inclusion and Special Needs and co-director of Vision Impairment Centre for Teaching and Research (VICTAR). Caireen Sutherland is the Head of Education at the Royal National Institute of Blind People. Her work focuses on education, digital technology and sensory impairment.
