Description
In 1996 Lauren Lieberman, then an assistant professor at SUNY
Brockport, started a small educational sports camp for children with visual
impairments called Camp Abilities with 27 children. In 2000 she expanded to
Palmer, Alaska. Today there are Camp Abilities programs in over 20 locations in
the US and in 10 countries. Come to this talk and hear the remarkable story of
this epic journey to help children with visual impairments and their families
around the globe.
