Managing Daily Behavioral Needs

This session will provide teachers, caregivers, and providers with strategies to assist preschool & elementary children in their day‐to‐day life to help prevent behavior struggles in public settings and routines such as mealtime and bath time. Session participants will discuss the connection between visual impairments and behaviors, needs and ways to support these behavioral needs.


Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will…
1. Develop processes for preventing and responding to behavioral needs.
2. Gain new resources to use to teach new skills to children.
3. Align the effects of visual impairments to challenging behavior.
