A Functional Vision
Evaluation (FVE) is a critical part of the assessment process when providing
vision services to infants and toddlers with visual impairment. Join Colleen
Kickbush, TVI, to explore the most effective techniques and tools for
conducting a comprehensive FVE on children between the ages of birth and three
years of age.
Outcomes of Presentation
- Understand the major assessment components of the FVE for young children with ocular and neurological visual impairments.
- Recognize opportunities for assessment modifications and parent/caregiver involvement based upon individual child needs, including additional disabilities or developmental delays.
- Learn about resources for Birth to 3 Program eligibility and sharing the results of the FVE with the PCATT team.
