    Description

This presentation will use written record of letters between Perkins School for the Blind and Annie Sullivan to understand people who were pioneers in the field. Information will be tied to how we can dedicate ourselves to walking the extra mile along the path of supporting our students and clients.

    Outcomes of Presentation

    1. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the beginning of support for individuals who are deaf blind.
    2. Participants will be able to describe three characteristics of dedicated professionals.
    3. Participants will examine questions from their own professional activities that parallel those of Annie Sullivan and Perkins School for the Blind.
