    • Overview

    Thank you

This live web event has ended. Thank you for attending.

    Description

Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of visual complexity, the fundamental challenge for most students with CVI, and how it impacts students in all phases. Participants will learn to use the What’s the Complexity? Framework to manage complexity and visual demands in an intentional, systematic way throughout the school day for children with CVI.

    Outcomes of Presentation

    1. Participants will be able to explain visual complexity in all of its forms and how it impacts students in each phase of CVI.
    2. Participants will gain a toolbox of analogies and simulations for explaining CVI to educational teams.
    3. Participants will be able to use the Environment and Task rating guides to evaluate the complexity of an activity.
    4. Participants will be able to create an Individual Complexity Profile for a child with CVI.
This session is presented on May 5, 2022 by Matt Tietjen.
